Albarracin

The city is located at 1200m of altitude and is surrounded by the meander of the Guadalaviar River and the defensive system of the 10th century wall, with the two main towers, the Andador tower from the 10th century and the Doña Blanca tower from the 13th century, which Along with the Alcazaba, the main residence that was on the upper level of the enclosure and had a large cistern under the patio, as well as a hamman (Arab bath), created an impregnable defensive system in Albarracin.


The medieval town is a journey through time... walking through its streets takes us into the Middle Ages and transports us to the past.

It has been a National Monument since 1961, acquired the Gold Medal for merit in Fine Arts in 1996, proposed by UNESCO to be declared a World Heritage Site, and is a member of The Most Beautiful Towns in Spain.
